Yesterday, a so-called Justice Department lawyer who could barely speak, and was totally unprepared and who stuttered repeatedly, argued the case for President Trump's 90-day moratorium of immigration from seven Muslim-majority countries before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Given the delay intentionally caused by Democrats in the Senate in confirming Senator Jeff Sessions as attorney general, the Justice Department, once my proud alma mater, continues to be run by a political appointee of former President Barack Hussein Obama. It is thus obvious that the current Obama attorney general designate had this Justice Department lawyer assigned as lead counsel to argue the case yesterday, knowing that he would fall flat on his face. And, I am not the only one who, listening to the oral argument on my computer while at the airport, concluded that this was one of the worst displays of legal advocacy in any major American case in our history. I was not just outraged, but truly embarrassed for the nation and our justice system.
